With You

You came into my life,

I didn’t have a clue, 

My heart went flitter flatter,

My mouth went pitter patter, 

But I could smile just being close to you. 

You’re lovely and you know it,

You’re strangely just my type, 

Nothing seems familiar and 

Nothing seems just right, 

But I can smile as long as I’m with you. 

And when I take a breath, it’s so much deeper than before, 

I’ve learned a brand new meaning of a sigh, 

I walk, but I’m much lighter and my eyes see so much more, 

Lucky me, now I can see that orange colored sky. 

I laugh when things aren’t funny,

My thoughts are incomplete, 

And though the ground’s below me, 

It feels miles from my feet and

When there’s pain, I’ll simply let it rain, 

And then I will smile as long as I’m with you
