A Felony Called Love
Tonight, a simple melody appeared to me,
I thought it was the remedy for what ailed me,
but it was not the remedy for this apparent felony called love.
I get myself in trouble with each girl I call,
I’m certain it’s from flirtin’ all around the hall.
I think I need some medicine cause when the girls say let us in, I fall.
My symptoms are the worst by far,
I’m burning with a fever.
And I’m afraid of the married life,
for what if I can’t leave her?
And so I’ll sing this melody each night and day.
I find it helps remind the girls to stay away.
For I’ve done so much lusting that there’s no more room for trusting in love.
I promise that I’ll change my life and completely rearrange my life,
if you commit this felony with me.
